Current Employment
Multimedia Specialist
Joining The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities in July of 2022, I was tasked with creating a large-scale media campaign promoting the direct support professional career path. Filming with various organizations and participants all over New Jersey, content from advertisements to short documentaries on the daily lives of Direct Support Professionals and the people they support was created. While working on this long-term project, I was able to balance assisting other teams at The Boggs Center to bolster their multimedia content. This included assisting with the development, production and distribution of video and audio to satisfy funder requirements and highlight the voice of people with disabilities. Working at The Boggs Center have given me the ability to combine my passion for advocacy with my love of non-fiction story telling.
Past Employment
Program Coordinator December 2020-July 2022
Beginning in December 2020, I joined Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as a media specialist for Project ECHO. I facilitated daily webinars that connect medical experts to different nursing homes across the state to spread the most up to date information on the COVID-19 Pandemic including vaccine distribution and staff and resident care. I meet with the medical experts throughout the week to help aid with the presentations and to troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise. Other responsibilities include aiding participants with any Zoom related problems, scheduling, website design, data entry, and research.
Lead and Assistant Instructor May 2020-August 2020
As an instructor at Black Rocket I taught various media courses to children ages seven to sixteen over Zoom. Beginning as an assistant instructor, I was promoted in July to a lead instructor. Each week, I taught students media production, video streaming, video game design, and coding through hands on experiences and one-on-one instruction.
Student Organization Coordinator January 2020-April 2020
Working with Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) at Emerson College, I primarily improved communication between SEAL and student organizations. By creating a student leader handbook, taking meetings with student leaders, and distributing information on SEAL policy, I gave organizations the tools they needed to grow and make meaningful experiences for their membership.
